The lineup of sneakers features a few of the brand’s most iconic Classics — the Old Skool Decon, Sk8-Hi Tapered and Authentic — made using responsibly sourced materials, according to the company.
The shoe uppers are made from 100 per cent organically grown cotton canvas, while the outsoles are made using “responsibly sourced natural rubber instead of petroleum-derived rubber, derived from tree farms that follow ethical and sustainable practices to minimize harm to the ecosystem.”
The shoelaces on the Eco Theory designs are made from a natural jute fibre, while the shoe is held together with water-based glues, according to a Vans press release. And the canvas sneaker colourways — including white/natural, winter sky/natural, cornstalk/natural and peachy keen/natural — are also created using water-based inks and dyes.
The price: $75-$100
